My grandfather, Mudgie's great-grampy, had an 80th birthday party on Saturday. We went to Boxford after Mudgie woke up from his morning nap. All of my aunts and uncles and their families on my dad's side were there. It really nice to get to spend time with everyone. Mudgie also thought it was good to see everyone...in fact, he was having so much fun there he didn't want to take an afternoon nap! He was up from 10:30am (thank goodness he took a 1.5 hour morning nap) until 9pm because, big surprise, he didn't want to go to bed either! As you can imagine, he was exhausted, but was in a surprisingly good mood all day for how overtired he must have been.
Unfortunately, because he didn't get his naps during the day, Saturday night was a mess sleep-wise. Fortunately, Friday night was Mudgie's best night ever. He slept from 8pm until 4:30am straight. A whole 8.5 hours! Nights like that give us hope that someday he'll sleep through the whole night.
Mudgie's walking is improving and he's starting to do more and more by himself. Stairs have really become a new fascination, so we have to be very vigilant about watching him, as you can look away for 1 second and look back to find him at the bottom of the stairs getting ready to climb! The pool is his other favorite place to play these days, and fortunately, the weather has been very cooperative for this. I also have to share my favorite new Mudgie trick, hugs. If you are holding him and ask him for a hug, he'll snuggle his head on your chest, which just makes my heart melt. What a loving little boy! I hope he still does this when he's 18...

So I guess Mudgie loves parties as long as all the attention is not only on him (like his birthday party-heehee)! That reminds me of his Daddy a little bit!
All I have to say is "Watch Out Tiggy!" because it sounds like Mudgie is on the prowl! He will be going through that cat door before you know it-haha!
We had such a great time with you guys!!! Mudgie is the cutest thing ever.Love you!
