Our little chatter bug

Mudgie's vocabulary continues to get better and better, but in addition to picking up new words every day, he's also getting better at putting multiple words together. For example, one of his new favorite games is "driving" my car. He loves sitting in the front seat and playing with the steering wheel and pushing all the buttons (no worries...the keys are no where near the ignition during this game). While this is very cute, it has also been making for some difficulties in getting to our destinations, as he would rather "drive" than get into his carseat! Well, the other day when we were leaving the grocery store, he was being such a good boy as I put him into his carseat. As I was buckling him in, he told me, "No me drive. Carseat." I was floored!

Not only is Mudgie expanding on his verbal abilities, he's also becoming much braver in his playtime activities. We went to the playground this weekend, and Mudgie climbed up the stairs to the big slide all by himself, but he didn't stop there. He went down big slides all by himself! A week or 2 ago he wouldn't even go down the slides with me, but today, he was brave enough to go down all by himself. My little man is growing up so fast.

Fortunately for me, however, he is still quite the cuddler. He loves to snuggle up with my belly and play with my belly button, and oddly enough, he loves to put my finger in his belly button at the same time. Dave finally witnessed this the other day and said, "You guys are so weird!" Yes, we are, but I wouldn't change it for the world!

The belly button thing is not weird now but it would be weird if he was 10...haha!
