Mudgie turns into a couch potato!

Mudgie got a Thomas the Tank Engine DVD for Christmas. He loves it. He doesn't care about anything else on the TV, but he can't get enough Thomas! At first we thought it was really cute, but now he has a fit if he can't watch Thomas whenever he wants, which happens to be for about an hour every day. This is more TV than I'm comfortable with him watching, but nothing will calm him down if he wants to watch it and you tell him no. So, Dave and I have decided to just go with it for now, with the hope that he'll eventually get tired of it and be done with his TV addiction. On a positive side, it gives us more time to relax or get stuff done, so it isn't all bad!

We had a nice long weekend together as a family. Mudgie is so much fun, and so creative! He's figured out the fun of forts, or his "house," as he calls it. He wants us to put a blanket over one of our bar stools, and he climbs underneath and then peaks out at you. He can play in there for about a half an hour at a time!

Another new trick, Mudgie has learned how to say "please." I'm trying to teach him manners, as well as the difference between asking for something nicely and whining. It's good to see I'm making progress on at least one front!

Finally, we got some more snow today, and for the first time, Mudgie seemed to really enjoy it. He's always loved being pulled around in his sled, but today he also enjoyed walking around in it and making snowballs! He even helped Mama make a snowman...it was bigger than him!

It'a amazing on how only 2 minutes (tops) of the "Dinosaur Train" intro has turned into 30 minutes of "Thomas"!
