Aaron the Communicator

It seems as though over the past couple of weeks, Aaron has gone from having a few words to get his point across to trying to say everything.  While we are still working on learning what he is trying to say, the number of words we can understand has exploded.  Aaron wants to tell us about his day, what he wants, what he sees, and pretty much anything else you can think of.  He's putting together 2-3 words on a regular basis, and doing a really good job of getting his point across.

Not only is Aaron getting really good with his words, but he's also getting really good with his facial expressions.  Aaron can now show you "shock," "angry," "sad," and "happy" faces on command.  So cute!

Mudgie is also learning new things.  This week when we were trying to feed the boys dinner and they were whining and bouncing off the walls, Mudgie said, "This place is a zoo!"  Truer words were never spoken, Mudgie.

Speaking of whining, it's a battle we are constantly fighting in this house.  It's something that drives both Dave and me nuts, but something the kids both do all too often.  We try really hard not to respond to the kids when they do it, but when it's 50+% of what comes out of their mouths, it's a little difficult.  We do try to at least make the kids say please and thank you, and now that Aaron has more words, they both respond appropriately when prompted.  They are good kids!
