A Funeral and Thanksgiving

Grammy Gail's funeral was Tuesday, and it was a hard day for everyone. Mudgie was a good boy, all things considered, though Grampy Butch had to take him for a walk in the middle of the service. Fortunately, Mudgie was easily entertained by the geese at the cemetery, and was on his best behavior when they got back.

Everyone went to my Aunt Debbie's place in Connecticut for Thanksgiving, and it was nice to have the family together for a happy occasion. Mudgie loved all the people and all the attention, and was a very well behaved little boy. He tried all kinds of new foods, even if what he mostly ate was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich!

We finally got back home late Thursday, and I think we were all happy to be here. Mudgie missed his routine, his toys, and Tiggy! He went back to sleeping through the night as soon as we got home, thankfully, although he's still waking up a little early for our taste.

Mudgie has finally transitioned from 2 naps to one, but we are still working on the timing of that nap. He gets tired sometime between 10 and 11am, but ideally he would wait until after lunch to take his nap. However, he doesn't usually last that long, so he ends up taking his 1 nap a little too early in the day, leaving him exhausted at bedtime. We would hope that this would then translate into sleeping a little later in the morning (6am would be nice), but he's still awake by 5:30 every day. Someday when he's a teenager who won't get out of bed, we'll get him back...

I am sure everyone is happy to get back to their routines!

I hope he feels better soon!
